Your Responsibilities
As an
EH&S Specialist
for
John Deere Specialty Products
located in
Langley BC
, you will:
- Lead a manufacturing team's Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems
- Move to and Maintain an ISO 14001 :2015 Environmental Management System at a small manufacturing location
- Assist in planning, designing, implementing, evaluating, and leading health and safety management programs and processes
- Support strategic and tactical plans as required to meet company goals around compliance and injury reduction
- Conduct periodic inspections, risk assessments and self-assessments
- Assist in corrective action development and safety education and training
What Skills You Need
- 3 or more years of experience applying occupational safety and/or environmental governmental/agency regulatory requirements or legislation
- 3 or more years of practical application of environmental programs, occupational health principles, occupational safety programs and ergonomic principles, and the ability to apply to workplace environments
- 3 or more years of executing processes for periodic inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action assurance, safety and environmental education and training
- 3 or more years analyzing appropriate safety and health metrics to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement
- 1 or more years of experience in the Occupational Safety and Health or environmental profession in a manufacturing or industrial environment
What Makes You Stand Out
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, factory operations, and warehousing
- Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
- CRSP designation
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following
- Degree in an Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental, Engineering/Technology, or Science discipline
