Vena Solutions is looking for a passionate Senior Instructional Designer to join our Customer Training team. The ideal candidate will create and maintain eLearning of Vena's technical product training content to drive the success of our clients through promoting product mastery. This role will work in partnership with the team's Training Specialists and other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to be responsible for the on-going design, development, and maintenance of current and future training programs for Vena Customers, Partners and the extended finance community. This role will also play an extensive role in identifying ways, from a process improvement perspective, to support scale and growth, while ensuring an outstanding customer experience
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain best-in-class learner-centric eLearning content on the Vena Solutions product using best practices in instructional design and incorporating relevant business and process context to promote product mastery.
- Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders and SMEs from other teams to assess learning needs and advise and create appropriate learning solutions for the customer learning journey that supports Customer Training KPIs and our content roadmap.
- Provide coaching and guidance to instructional designers in effectively utilizing the ADDIE framework, and leveraging industry and functional best practices, to enhance learner engagement and improve retention.
- Assess and propose solutions to streamline and accelerate the eLearning development/production processes while ensuring the learner experience stays intact.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Principal Instructional Designers to execute training solutions on new features within the agile development cycles of R&D.
- In partnership with the Manager, Customer Training and/or Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator, evaluate the impact, usage and effectiveness of learning content and implement feedback to drive improvements against Customer Training KPIs.
- Ensure ongoing usability of Vena Academy (our LMS) by working with the LMS Administrator to upload, troubleshoot and complete user acceptance testing of online courses and course assessments.
- Collaborate with the Training Specialists to create and maintain a consistent learning path for Vena Customers, including advising on instructional design best practices that align with live training delivery, blended Vena Certification programs and/or customer summits.
- Stay up to date with Vena product, industry and technological advancements that influence the ways finance professionals interact within the Vena Ecosystem.
- Work with the Manager, Customer Training to review and advise on tech stack for instructional development.
- Other task/activities as assigned.
- 5+ years of experience as an Instructional Designer demonstrating skills in creating engaging digital content while applying instructional design best practices.
- Understanding and application of key design concepts such as ADDIE (Analyzing, Designing, Developing, Implementing, and Evaluating), Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Accessibility standards within eLearning content.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technology in a clear, concise and effective manner for a wide range of audiences.
- Highly proficient with Instructional Design technology such as video editing suites (Camtasia), graphic design (Adobe), Articulate RISE & MS Office. · Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects while meeting project deadlines.
- Demonstrates exceptional precision in creating, reviewing and editing instructional content.
- Working knowledge of LMS systems partnered with an understanding of UI/UX design within the delivery and publication of learning content.
- Ability to provide coaching to a team of Instructional Designers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience presenting in both live and recorded setting, as applicable.
- Experience in financial services or software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry. Educational Requirements (Optional)
- Degree or diploma in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Curriculum Development, or relevant experience in a similar role or field.
