Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sorter to join our team. The Sorter will play a crucial role in the processing and organization of materials, ensuring that items are accurately sorted for further handling or distribution. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Sort and categorize materials or products based on specified criteria.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and loaders to move materials as needed.
• Clean and sanitize work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
• Fabricate or assemble components as required during the sorting process.
• Dig or excavate materials when necessary, following safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.

Skills

• Proficiency in forklift operation is preferred.
• Experience with heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to specified weight limits).
• Strong attention to detail for accurate sorting and categorization of materials.
• Capability to clean and sanitize work areas effectively.
• Basic fabrication skills are a plus.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with colleagues effectively.
