Nick Day Design is a custom millwork shop specializing in high-end residential cabinetry and furniture in Toronto. Seeking a Junior Installer to join our team.

The main role of this position is on-site installation and delivery. There is potential for a portion of time to be spent assisting with in-shop production.

Projects include a range of residential built-in cabinetry including kitchens, vanities, shelving, closets, etc. We work with a range of materials (wood veneers, solid woods, MDF, melamine) with a focus on veneer and spray lacquer finishes.

Looking for a candidate with experience in cabinet installation who is keen to develop their skills at a high quality level. Must take pride in their work and be able to problem solve effectively.

Duties

  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings and follow detailed instruction
  • Installation of millwork to a high finish standard according to plans provided
  • Skilled at problem solving issues that may arise during installation
  • Maintain a clean and safe work space. Safe operation of tools and equipment

Qualifications

  • Experience in cabinet installation. Minimum 2 years
  • Able to operate standard woodworking tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Valid G Class Driver's License
  • Good attitude and a team player
  • Experience as a Cabinet Maker would be an asset

Tools/Equipment

  • Standard install tools provided.
  • Basic hand tools required (drills/bits, measuring tools).
