Job Overview
Absolute Pest Solutions is a growing local pest control company serving the Lower Mainland. We're looking for a Pest Control Technician who cares about doing work properly, not rushing through jobs. Day to day, you'll be inspecting homes and businesses, finding how pests are getting in, and carrying out treatments and prevention work.
You don't need pest control experience (It's preferred), we will train you. What matters most is that you're reliable, comfortable dealing with customers, willing to learn, and okay with physical, hands-on work (ladders, tools, going into attics/crawlspaces, etc.).
This role is a good fit for someone who wants steady work, independence during the day, and a chance to build a long-term skill set in a specialized trade.
Responsibilities
- Inspect residential and commercial properties to identify pest activity, entry points, and risk areas
- Apply pest control treatments using approved products, tools, and equipment
- Set up and service traps, bait stations, and monitoring devices
- Explain findings, treatment plans, and prevention tips to customers in clear, simple language
- Complete service notes and reports accurately after each job
- Safely use ladders, sprayers, drills, sealant/caulking guns, and other basic tools
- Keep your vehicle and equipment stocked, organized, and in good condition
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and label directions at all times
- Represent Absolute Pest Solutions professionally on every visit
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, trades, maintenance, security, or similar work is an asset, but not required
- Comfortable using basic hand tools and small power tools
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently once trained
- Willing and able to work both indoors and outdoors, in various weather and conditions (attics, crawlspaces, etc.)
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Valid driver's licence and clean driving record preferred
Who This Role Is For
This role is ideal for someone who likes problem-solving, being out on the road, and doing work that actually helps people. If you're the type of person who takes pride in doing things properly, doesn't mind getting a bit dirty, and wants to grow with a local company rather than being just another number in a big corporation, you'll fit in well at Absolute Pest Solutions.
