Child Psychotherapist (PT) Opportunity with Foundation Health Foundation Health Job Description

We are looking for a qualified, part time Child Psychotherapist to join our mental health team at Foundation Health. This position involves working remotely in a virtual telehealth environment as well as in person. As a Child Psychotherapist with Foundation Health you will be responsible for:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents.

• Provide evidence-based therapy, including play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed therapy, and family therapy, as appropriate.

• Support children experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, family conflict, grief, and adjustment disorders.

• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records and progress notes in accordance with professional and legal standards.

• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment goals and interventions as needed.

• Participate in case consultations, interdisciplinary team meetings, and continuing education activities.

• Adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by the College of Psychotherapists or relevant regulatory body.

Skills and Experience Required

• Master's degree in Psychotherapy, Counselling Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or a related field.

• Registration (or eligibility for registration) with a recognized professional college (e.g., CRPO, CPO, OCSWSSW).

• Specialized training or certification in child and adolescent psychotherapy or play therapy preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with children and youth.

• Strong knowledge of developmental psychology and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
