Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will work under the direction of our physician to provide exceptional clinical support and patient care within their full scope of practice. This role is integral to monitoring patient progress, assisting the physician and nurse practitioner with treatments, and educating clients on their BHRT journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Support: Provide direct, hands-on nursing care to patients undergoing BHRT and other wellness programs.
  • Patient Monitoring: Monitor, record and patient track progress, and observe for any side effects or changes in condition. Report all patient concerns or changes to the supervising physician or nurse practitioner.
  • Patient Education: Educate and guide patients on treatment protocols, potential side effects, and lifestyle factors (e.g., nutrition, exercise) that support their hormone health goals.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous and accurate patient records, document all care provided, and ensure confidentiality of all health information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Clinic Operations: Assist with maintaining medical supply inventory, setting up treatment rooms, and ensuring a clean, sterile, and safe clinical environment.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively as part of the interdisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to patient care.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Graduation from a recognized and approved Practical Nursing program.
  • Licensure: Current, active practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the [e.g., BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) or applicable provincial regulatory body] in good standing.
  • Experience: [e.g., 1-2 years] of recent clinical nursing experience, preferably in a clinic, primary care, or acute care setting.
  • Skills: Proven competency in clinical procedures including injections and phlebotomy/venipuncture.
  • Attributes: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, compassionate, and an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge (Asset): Familiarity with bioidentical hormone replacement therapy or functional medicine principles is considered an asset.
