Seasonal Tax Preparer – T1 Returns

A Winnipeg-based financial advisor is seeking an experienced Seasonal Tax Preparer to assist during personal tax season. This role involves preparing full Canadian T1 personal tax returns in-office using Intuit Profile software. There is no client contact required.

This position is well suited to someone who prefers late afternoon, evening, and weekend work during the tax season.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare complete Canadian T1 personal tax returns
  • Review and enter tax data using Profile
  • Handle a mix of RRSPs and investment income and some self-employed and rental income returns
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality
  • Work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements (must-have)

  • Prior experience preparing Canadian T1 returns to completion
  • Comfortable using Profile Tax Software
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Available late February through May
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Accounting or tax-related education/designations (CPA etc.)

Nice to Have

  • Multiple tax seasons of experience
  • Experience with treatment of cottage capital gains on tax returns.

Schedule & Pay

  • Seasonal, part-time
  • 10–30 hours per week
  • Evenings and weekends required
  • $ $60.00 /hour, based on experience
  • Potential return opportunity for future tax seasons
