Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Driver to operate commercial vehicles across long distances. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight, managing logistics, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, vehicle maintenance, and efficient route management to meet company standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks and freight vehicles over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips, performing basic automotive repairs or reporting issues to maintenance teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage logs, and freight manifests.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays.
- Follow safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation procedures.
- Assist with warehouse operations when not on the road, including forklift operation and freight management.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with long-haul routes.
- Familiarity with forklift operation and freight handling procedures.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair is a plus.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment or managing freight logistics is preferred. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment requiring professionalism, safety awareness, and excellent driving skills.
