Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager, Software Development.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Moneris is seeking a Sr Software Developer who is passionate about development, doing it right and having fun.

  • Architect scalable solutions ensuring security, performance, and high availability across all environments.

  • Be a champion for engineering best practices (such as shift left testing) and continuous improvement.

  • Foster a fun, inclusive, collaborative team environment.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and good decision making.

  • Write comprehensive tests (unit, API, UI) to ensure code quality and maintainability.

  • Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React for the front-end and for the back-end.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • Proven development experience with React, Nodejs, and relational databases

  • Proven experience architecting and delivering high-quality, high-security, and high- availability solutions

  • Proven experience using Github and Github actions

  • Proven experience writing unit tests, API tests and UI tests

  • Experience with cloud services (Azure would be great) and managing infrastructure as code (Terraform would be great)

  • A passion for continuous learning about emerging technologies and software best practices
