Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and professional Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic massage services to clients, helping them relax, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach to ensure a positive experience for every client. The Massage Therapist will work in a welcoming environment dedicated to promoting health and relaxation through expert massage techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or other modalities.
  • Assess client conditions and discuss treatment goals to develop personalized massage plans.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or wellness practices.
  • Keep accurate records of client treatments and progress notes securely and confidentially.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by creating a relaxing environment and addressing client questions or concerns professionally.
  • Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills.

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to massage therapy and health conditions.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain treatment procedures and address client needs clearly.
  • Prior experience in a clinical or spa setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for new graduates.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a caring attitude at all times.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in massage therapy.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
