As we continue to grow, we're looking for a 3D Scanning Technician Intern to join our construction technology team. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate who has already gained hands-on 3D scanning experience through coursework, co-op, or early career work and is now ready to take the next step. If you have the educational background and practical exposure to 3D Scanning Technology and BIM tools, this entry-level role will give you the platform to deepen your skills while contributing to high-impact projects across the Lower Mainland, collaborating closely with the drafting team.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate primarily with the drafting team and contribute as an integral member of the drafting team

  • Capture accurate point cloud data of construction sites and existing structures using Trimble and Faro equipment (training provided)

  • Help process and register point cloud data using software such as Trimble FieldLink or FARO Scene

  • Support the creation of comprehensive BIM deliverables based on scan data using Autodesk Revit

  • Contribute to as-built documentation and fabrication-ready packages

  • Maintain organized data sets and assist with quality control checks

What You Bring to the Team

  • Recent successful completion of a diploma/degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil/Architectural Technology, or a related field

  • Hands-on experience with 3D laser scanning/LiDAR through coursework, co-op, internship, or early career work

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and point cloud processing software (Trimble FieldLink, FARO Scene, or similar)

  • Understanding of BIM concepts, software, and ability to contribute to project models

  • Strong attention to detail, data management skills, and ability to interpret technical drawings

  • Adaptable, tech-savvy, and eager to keep learning in a fast-paced environment

  • Valid driver's license (or ability to obtain) and willingness to travel to project sites
