Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shop Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our millwork & Cabinetry facility. The ideal candidate will lead a team of skilled workers, ensure projects adhere to safety and quality standards, and coordinate various aspects of cabinetry construction and ensure deadlines are met. This leadership role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. You will also be in charge of training new staff members.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production to ensure timely project completion.
- Read and interpret shop drawings to guide work processes.

- Ensure proper use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other equipment while maintaining safety standards.
- Manage materials procurement and inventory control for various projects and overall stock.
- Conduct quality inspections to verify work meets specifications and mi-tec standards.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on technical skills such as fine carpentry, joinery / cabinetry as well as custom furniture building and finishing (staining and painting).

- Enforce safety protocols and promote a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks and coordinate the assembly of complex projects or components.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custom cabinetry / joinery and Millwork. Journeyman would be proffered.
- Strong knowledge in reading and interpreting shop drawings and occasionally blueprints.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other industry-specific equipment including but not limited to spray on finishes .
- Demonstrated leadership skills with prior supervisory or supervisor experience preferred.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in quality control.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work under pressure.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members.
- Valid relevant certifications or licenses are a plus but not mandatory. This role offers an opportunity to lead impactful projects within a dynamic environment while utilizing a broad skill set to further strengthen the entire team and company.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $35.00-$55.00 per hour
