Huawei Canada has an immediate contract opening for a Senior Researcher.


About the Team:
Noah's Ark Lab

Founded in 2012, the Noah's Ark lab has evolved into a prominent research organization with notable achievements in academia and industry. The lab's mission focuses on advancing artificial intelligence and related fields to benefit the company and society. Driven by impactful, long-term projects, the aim is to enhance state-of-the-art research while integrating innovations into the company's products and services, including LLMs, RL, NLP, computer vision, AI theory and Autonomous driving.

About the Job

  • Design perception algorithms such as object detection/instance segmentation/pose estimation based on RGB or RGBD sensors.

  • Building tools for 3D reconstruction and sensor data simulation.

  • Fully participate in technical planning, implementing, and coordinating all aspects of the project including data collection/preparation, data analysis, model development and literature review.

  • Write manuscripts for publication.

Job requirements

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.

  • Experience with computer vision and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).

  • Experience with developing perception/3D construction algorithms.

  • Familiar with LiDAR/Camera sensors.

  • Excellent software development skills in C++ & Python.

  • Comfortable developing with Linux & Git.

  • Evidence of leading-edge publications in the scientific literature.
