Shop Mechanic / Contract Mechanic (Service Truck) – Heavy Equipment & Truck/Trailer

$30-$50 hr

Scope of Work

You will be responsible for inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of: Heavy truck & trailer units.

Yellow iron including Loaders, Skid steers, Excavators, Dozers

Mostly Caterpillar support equipment

Preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing

Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and air systems

Supporting field equipment as required (for contract mechanics)

What We are Looking For

Journeyperson or Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic or equivalent proven experience

Experience with heavy truck & trailer systems

Strong understanding of yellow iron maintenance and repair

Ability to work independently and diagnose issues efficiently.

Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism

For Contract Mechanics:

Fully equipped service truck (tools, diagnostics, welding capability considered an asset)

Valid business registration, WCB, and insurance

Ability to respond to scheduled and as needed work.

Schedule: hr day, Monday-Friday, some weekend work required.

Pay: $30-$50/hr (based on experience and proven performance).

Journeyman and Apprentices. Wage discussed.

Contract mechanic must have a fully equipped service truck. Wage negotiable.

Overtime: overtime is paid
