In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the preparation of high-quality meals that delight our guests. If you have a strong background in the food industry and a commitment to food safety and quality, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
  • Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to the restaurant's standards and recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and kitchen operations.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment or food service role is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
  • Basic cooking skills with an eagerness to learn more advanced techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Must be based in Calgary.
