Job Summary:
The Yard Helper supports daily yard operations by directing school bus drivers, organizing the parking yard, and ensuring smooth vehicle movement. This role involves communicating with drivers and the Fleet Manager/ Operations Manager, keeping track of bus locations, and occasionally moving buses within the yard. The Yard Helper plays a key role in maintaining an efficient, safe, and well-organized yard environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Helping direct school bus drivers to park safely and efficiently
- Keeping the parking yard organized and orderly
- Communicating with drivers and assisting them as needed
- Communicating regularly with the Fleet Manager
- Tracking and recording bus locations within the yard
- Occasionally moving buses around the yard as required
- Supporting general yard operations and other related tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Ontario G driver's license (Commercial license an asset)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.60 per hour
