About the Position

Sales Director (Global Account Manager) –
Life Insurance - Financial Services Domain

About the Role: HCLTech is seeking an accomplished Global Account Manager with 14-18 years of experience to lead and expand this strategic relationship. This role will own the end-to-end account strategy, revenue growth, and client engagement charter for a leading Life insurer globally. It requires a strong balance of strategic relationship management (farming) and new business development (hunting), combined with deep understanding of life insurance and financial services operations.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in leading complex, multi-geo engagements, and will play a pivotal role in expanding HCLTech's footprint across business units, driving growth in Professional IT Services and beyond

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Global Account Strategy
    — define, execute, and continuously refine a multi-year roadmap aligned with client priorities and HCLTech's growth objectives.
  • Build and nurture executive relationships
    with key stakeholders across technology, business, and sourcing organizations in Canada, the U.S., the Philippines, and India.
  • Drive revenue growth
    by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities in IT Professional Services, including Application Development, Digital, Data, AI, Cloud, and Infrastructure offerings.
  • Expand the portfolio
    through cross-sell and upsell initiatives, leveraging HCLTech's full services ecosystem and global delivery capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams
    — delivery, presales, solutioning, and marketing — to ensure value realization and client satisfaction.
  • Champion governance and performance excellence
    , ensuring transparent communication and strong operational alignment across all geographies.
  • Monitor industry and client trends
    in life insurance, wealth management, and digital transformation to proactively position HCLTech as a partner of choice.
  • Represent HCLTech leadership
    in client forums, quarterly reviews, and innovation councils.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 12–18 years of experience in strategic account management or sales within the Financial Services or Insurance domain.
  • Proven track record in managing large, complex client relationships across multiple geographies.
  • Deep understanding of life insurance operations, digital transformation, and the evolving regulatory and technology landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to build executive-level relationships, drive growth, and deliver multi-million-dollar portfolios.
  • Experience selling IT Professional Services including Application Development, Digital Engineering, Cloud, AI, Data & Analytics, and BPO.
  • Own the strategic agenda for the portfolio and establish executive-level connections between financial services clients and HCLTech executives.
  • Understand FS industry trends, regulatory changes, and establish engaging dialogues with key client stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI-driven automation, APIs, and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills with an ability to influence at all levels.
  • A self-starter with high energy, business acumen, and a global mindset.
