Position Summary:

The Clinic Supervisor, Massage plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and professional operation of the student massage clinic. This position is responsible for supervising massage therapy students during their practical clinic hours, supporting a safe and organized environment, and ensuring quality client care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinic Operations & Supervision
  • Oversee daily clinic activities, including student and client check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Manage and coordinate the student schedule to ensure adequate coverage and smooth workflow.
  • Supervise student performance, providing guidance on massage techniques, body mechanics, and professionalism.
  • Monitor student adherence to safety, hygiene, and confidentiality protocols.
  • Client Services
  • Greet and assist clients professionally; ensure a positive experience throughout their visit.
  • Handle bookings and phone inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Process client payments and issue receipts.
  • Facility & Supply Management
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment.
  • Involve students in laundry duties and general upkeep of treatment areas.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and equipment, including massage oils, cleaning products, linens, and laundry detergent.
  • Ensure treatment rooms are properly stocked and report low inventory or equipment issues to the Program Lead.
  • Communication & Reporting
  • Act as the main point of contact between the clinic, students, and academic leadership.
  • Report concerns, incidents, or student performance issues to the Program Lead and Dean.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in good standing.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or teaching experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to mentor students professionally and constructively.
  • Comfortable using scheduling or POS systems.

Working Conditions:

  • On-site position in a clinical education setting.
  • Some evening or weekend hours may be required.
