Job Title: PowerBI Developer

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with 5+ years of expertise in building interactive dashboards reports and semantic models to support advanced business analytics The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Power BI Semantic Models formerly SSAS Tabular DAX data modeling and SQL Server querying with a deep understanding of relationships cardinality and performance optimization This role requires someone who can translate business requirements into impactful data visualizations and analytical solutions

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop Power BI dashboards reports and semantic models to deliver actionable insights

Create and maintain data models with proper relationships cardinality and hierarchies for optimized performance

Write and optimize DAX measures and calculated columns for business logic and KPIs

Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server and build scalable datasets

Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into visual analytics solutions

Implement row level security RLS data security best practices and governance policies

Optimize Power BI solutions for performance usability and maintainability

Collaborate with data engineers analysts and architects for end to end BI solutions

Conduct unit testing UAT and performance tuning for Power BI reports and dashboards

Stay updated with Power BI and Microsoft BI ecosystem enhancements and recommend improvements

Required Skillset

5+ years of hands on experience in Power BI report and dashboard development

Strong proficiency in DAX Power Query M language and data modeling best practices

Strong SQL development skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server

Expertise in Semantic Models SSAS Tabular and managing relationships cardinality and hierarchies

Solid understanding of SQL Server querying stored procedures and optimization techniques

Experience with data visualization principles and creating user friendly insightful dashboards

Knowledge of Power BI Service including workspaces apps and deployment pipelines

Familiarity with performance tuning techniques in Power BI and SSAS

Understanding of data governance security and RLS in Power BI

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate or Power BI certification

Exposure to Azure Analysis Services and Azure Synapse for advanced modeling

Familiarity with DevOps integration for Power BI deployments

Experience in embedding Power BI reports into applications

Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross functional teams
