Role Description

This is a contract position for a Web Security Proxy Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to safeguard web traffic and systems. Key responsibilities include configuring and managing proxy servers, ensuring application and network security standards, monitoring cybersecurity risks, and collaborating with teams to handle information security issues. The role is hybrid, based in Montreal, QC, with some flexibility for remote work.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and practical experience in Application Security and Network Security
  • Proficiency in Cybersecurity and Security Engineering methodologies
  • Strong understanding of Information Security frameworks and best practices
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to assess and mitigate security risks
  • Familiarity with security-related tools and platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are an asset
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in the consulting or technology services industry is a plus
