Overview

The Concrete Production Worker is responsible for supporting the production of high-quality precast concrete products at Proform. This role involves preparing and assembling molds, placing reinforcement, pouring and finishing concrete, stripping forms, and completing finishing and cleanup activities. This position is safety sensitive and requires strict adherence to all safety, quality, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and assemble molds according to production drawings and specifications
  • Read and interpret production orders to determine job requirements
  • Handle, place, and assemble rebar cages per specifications
  • Measure and inspect mold dimensions to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Pour, place, and finish fresh concrete in prepared molds
  • Strip finished precast products from molds safely and efficiently
  • Remove excess concrete from products and molds using hand tools and cleaning materials
  • Perform general housekeeping duties including sweeping, shoveling debris, and maintaining a clean work area
  • Operate tools and equipment required for production tasks in a safe manner
  • Assist with demolition work and salvage usable materials when required

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including safe lifting and material handling
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and responsibly
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools, equipment, and machinery
  • Ability to select appropriate tools and equipment for assigned tasks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Respect for diversity and ability to work respectfully with others
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, standing, walking, and repetitive tasks

Work Conditions:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety boots, hard hats, and other protective gear
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, noise, and outdoor weather conditions
  • Work environment may include heat, humidity, cold, and inclement weather
  • Noise levels are typically loud
  • Requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and ability to move quickly and safely

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of the job. Employees are regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms to handle tools and materials. The role frequently involves bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and lifting. Occasional climbing and balancing may be required.
