About the Role
Studiox Film & TV Corporation is a Canada-based media and broadcast company establishing a
24×7 live television broadcast, ingest, encoding, and playout facility
in Surrey, BC.
This role supports
international broadcast operations
and
Canadian-compliant TV workflows
, working with confidential overseas media partners and remote technical teams.
Partner identities and commercial structures are
not public
and are disclosed
only after hiring and NDA execution
.
We are looking for a
confident, mature Broadcast Systems / DevOps Engineer
who can independently manage live systems and understands professional boundaries in international media operations.
Key Responsibilities
Broadcast & Media Systems
- Manage live TV ingest, encoding, playout, and monitoring
- Ensure 24×7 uptime with redundancy and failover planning
- Support GPU-based Windows workstations, storage, and UPS systems
- Maintain broadcast control room and newsroom infrastructure
DevOps & IT Operations
- Configure and maintain servers, workstations, NAS/shared storage
- Manage secure remote access (VPN, credentials, access control)
- Monitor performance, logs, backups, and alerts
- Enforce IT security and access policies
Networking & Digital
- Manage firewalls, routers, managed switches, VLANs
- Support streaming and digital platforms (YouTube, OTT, CMS)
- Assist in optimizing digital workflows for
Canadian monetization (CPM)
Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with remote international IT teams under defined access rules
- Support Canadian broadcast compliance workflows (logging, archiving)
- Maintain technical documentation and SOPs
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with
broadcast systems, live streaming, or media IT - Strong knowledge of
Windows systems, networking, and storage - Familiarity with
DevOps concepts
(monitoring, access control, security) - Ability to work in
high-availability, live broadcast environments - Confident professional conduct and respect for confidentiality
Assets (Nice to Have):
- TV news or broadcast facility experience
- Knowledge of Canadian broadcast or regulatory environments
- Experience working with international or remote teams
- Understanding of digital monetization and ad-supported platforms

The successful candidate
