Our team is looking for a full-time Project Engineer who is driven to successfully deliver project through its various phases in accordance with approved scope, specifications, design parameters, safety, and quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers and is accountable for execution of the scope of work on schedule
Leads the engineering and design effort by providing technical oversight and collaborating with multiple engineering and design disciplines, supply chain management, document control and construction
Leads the development of technical project documents such as the Design Basis Memorandum (DBM), studies and technical memos
Monitors and maintains the project schedule and collaborates with project controls and other team members for effective change management
Reports to the Project Manager on deliverable status, schedule and progress of project and provides input into project reports
Develops and maintains professional relationships with clients and works to identify value-add opportunities for the client
Attends project meetings, HAZOPs, 3D Model Reviews and records meeting minutes and maintains decision and action logs (D&AL) as necessary
Manage project risks by identifying potential issues early, developing mitigation strategies, and proactively addressing challenges

QUALIFICATIONS:

10 years overall experience with 3-5 years experience in a project engineering/coordination capacity
Minimum 3 - 5 years of discipline experience preferably in Process, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering
Degree in Engineering from an accredited University
Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) status with APEGA is considered an asset
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent time management skills
On-site construction support and management experience is considered an asset
Experience with project controls reporting and MS Project is considered an asset
