What We Do There has never been a more exciting time to be at WAHA. We are an integrated health system providing the full continuum of care to the six communities of the western James Bay coast with over 500 employees, physicians, and partners in care.   • Demonstrate a client centred approach to care and ability to work with families
  • Knowledge of infection control, good body mechanics in the provision of care
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers
  • Strong knowledge of practice and regulations

What You'll Do
  • Assisting clients of all age and health issues with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Transferring and repositioning of clients
  • Care of hospital's environment, supplies and equipment
  • Communicates with nurses and MRP's about client's condition/a part of the multidisciplinary health team
  • Advocacy for clients
  • Other duties as assigned
  What You Bring
  • Ontario Certificate from an accredited College PSW program
  • Registered and in good standing with the Personal Support Worker Registry of Ontario
  • Member of the Ontario Personal Support Worker Association (OPSWA)
  • One year demonstrated experience working with individuals and family in the provision of activities of daily living (ADLs) and end-of-life care
  • Ability to communicate in the local native Cree language is an asset

Salary: $57, $59,514.00
