Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Roofing Supervisor to oversee operations within our flat roof team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely, while maintaining high standards of quality. This role requires strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring timelines are met and quality standards are upheld.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work sites to assess compliance with blueprints and specifications.
  • Train new employees on proper techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of project schedules, including resource allocation.

Skills

  • Proficiency in using hand tools and construction equipment effectively.
  • Strong background in commercial roofing installations of all types and methods of flat roofing products.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Experience with heavy lifting and physical labor associated with construction projects.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively lead and motivate team members.

Experience

  • Commercial Roofing: 10 years (required)
  • Roofing Supervisory: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification

  • Interprovincial Red Seal Ticket in Roofer Trade (required)
