The Supervisor – Instrumentation and Metrology Services is responsible for the quality of deliverables completed at client sites by the team under their responsibility. Through strong leadership, coaching, and management actions, the incumbent ensures that mandates are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with established standards and procedures, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and talent development.

What You Bring To The Table
Leadership, coaching, and team development

  • Coach, engage, and develop a team of instrumentation and metrology technicians.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Ensure the implementation and follow-up of competency development plans and performance reviews.
  • Identify and develop high-potential talent and contribute to succession planning to maintain a healthy balance between senior resources and the development of new employees.
  • Ensure that health and safety policies, as well as other Contrôles Laurentide policies, are understood and properly applied by the team.

Quality, efficiency, and operations

  • Implement, maintain, and enforce quality standards in the execution of mandates.
  • Collaborate with planning to assess current and future workload in order to optimize resource utilization and support hiring decisions.
  • Approve timesheets and expense reports for team members.
  • Manage vacation and leave schedules to ensure adequate service levels.
  • Assess tooling and personal protective equipment (PPE) needs to ensure the safe and efficient execution of mandates.

Client Experience And Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Services Director, the sales team, project managers, and clients.
  • Maintain strong business relationships and ensure clear, ongoing communication with clients throughout mandates.
  • Contribute to client satisfaction and retention through the quality of work delivered and the professionalism of the team.

Essential Skills And Qualifications To Be Successful

  • Essential experience in instrumentation and/or metrology services.
  • Experience managing technical personnel.
  • Ability to develop and communicate clear plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Strong focus on internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Leadership, team spirit, sense of responsibility, autonomy, and dynamism.
  • Experience in a customer service role or sales-oriented environment (an asset).
  • Project management experience (an asset).
  • Ability to build strong interpersonal and business relationships with clients.
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges.
  • Passion and integrity, with a desire to have a strong and positive impact on achieving company objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in French (required).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (an asset).
