The ideal candidate will have these skills and qualifications:

-Understand the ELECT Document and How Does Learning Happen

-Knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act and knowledge of licensing regulations

-Understand our policies and procedures

-Have excellent communication skills with children and adults

-Establish and maintain warm, professional relationships with children's parents/families

-Keep accurate and current all records of the centre and Ministry of Education

-Be professional, mature and maintain confidentiality at all times

-Be reliable, a team player and take initiative

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for helping to maintain a happy, creative atmosphere in the classroom

-Valid Standard First Aid Certificate & CPR/AED Level C

-Registered and in Good Standing with the College of ECE and Diploma/Degree, Early Childhood Assistant Diploma

-Valid Vulnerable Sector Check/Criminal Record Check

-Up to date health assessment and immunization record
