Overview

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design, customer service, and retail sales, with the ability to create beautiful arrangements that meet clients' needs. The Florist will be responsible for designing floral arrangements, assisting customers, managing inventory, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for all visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Create custom floral arrangements for various occasions including weddings, funerals, and events
  • Assist customers in selecting flowers and related products, providing expert advice on floral care and design
  • Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
  • Maintain the appearance of the floral display area through merchandising and organization
  • Manage inventory levels, restock flowers and supplies as needed, and monitor product freshness
  • Support landscape maintenance tasks around the store premises when required
  • Handle e-commerce orders efficiently, ensuring timely fulfillment and delivery coordination
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and retail space
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in floral design or horticulture preferred; knowledge of landscape maintenance is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in arranging flowers and managing inventory
  • Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, cashiering, and retail sales processes
  • Knowledge of merchandising techniques to enhance product presentation
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms related to floral retailing is desirable
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Passion for gardening, landscaping, or horticulture is preferred
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clients

Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour
