Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in security systems and technology, with expertise in various areas including construction, electrical systems, and computer networking. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities through the effective implementation and management of security measures.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot security systems including CCTV, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and access control systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to assist in the installation of security equipment.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to integrate security solutions into new building projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections of security equipment and systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for the installation and repair of security devices.
  • Monitor computer hardware and networking components related to security systems to ensure reliable operation.
  • Provide technical support for low voltage systems and telecommunication equipment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a related field with a strong understanding of security technology.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
  • Familiarity with construction processes and electrical experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of computer networking principles and mechanical knowledge related to security systems.
  • Experience with CCTV installations, low voltage wiring, sensors, and telecommunication equipment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
