The
Quality Assurance & Control Manager
leads and continuously improves the company's quality and compliance systems to support a zero-defect culture. This role oversees quality operations across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with GMP standards, certifications, and customer requirements through strong processes, documentation, and performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop QA/QC teams across folding carton facilities in Montreal and Laval
  • Oversee quality control processes and ensure compliance with material specifications and documentation
  • Manage quality assurance systems (SOPs, inspections, releases, deviation management, CAPAs)
  • Analyze non-conformities, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Define, monitor, and report on quality KPIs
  • Prepare sites for internal, customer, and external audits (BRC, FSC, etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to GMP, documentation standards, and internal policies
  • Develop and deliver GMP-based training programs
  • Collaborate with Operations, HR, and H&S on safety and compliance initiatives
  • Prepare reports for government and regulatory authorities as required

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in a science-related field
  • 5+ years of QA/QC experience in a GMP-regulated environment
  • Experience in food, packaging, printing, or pharma (asset)
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, BRC, FSC, SFI, GMI
  • Proven people leadership and audit management experience
  • Bilingual (Customers outside Quebec)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or KT tools experience (asset)
