We are looking to hire
Industrial Engineering Specialist
,
who will be responsible for identifying, designing, planning, and executing automation and process improvement and capital projects through multi-functional team collaboration to support safety, quality, and cost saving initiatives for production in the Oakville facility.

What You Will Do

  • Evaluates current state process gaps based on quality, safety, capacity, and cost
  • Identify and Research Automation opportunities that will support the business for future growth
  • Lead an internal team, or vendor, through the development, design and execution phases of the automation
  • Offer technical expertise in design, development and execution of project
  • Develop detailed project plans and ensure all project task deliverables, costs, and timelines are delivered according to plan
  • Establish the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow
  • Plan the sequence of operations and procedures and document the manufacturing standard work and routings
  • Plan the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control and production record systems

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Aerospace/ Electrical Engineering and 5 years of related experience or an Advanced Degree and 3 years of related experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in implementing automation projects.
  • Experience in machine/equipment installation and commissioning.
  • Experience in CAD software system.
  • Experience with Factory Automation product offerings in the market.
  • Experience in Project Management and prioritizing projects.
  • Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in Aerospace industry
  • Experience in Catia and/ or NX.
  • PLC Programming and Robotics experience.
  • ABB and Fanuc Experience
  • Problem solving, and Organizational skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all MS office applications
  • Builds strong interpersonal relationships and motivates cross functional teams
  • Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement and Lean Techniques and applications
