Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Traffic Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic around construction sites and paving operations. This position requires a strong understanding of construction environments and the ability to operate heavy equipment as needed. Responsibilities

  • Direct traffic flow around construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and motorists.
  • Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barriers.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and the public to provide clear instructions.
  • Monitor site conditions and report any hazards or issues to supervisors.
  • Assist with paving operations by coordinating vehicle movement and material delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Skills

  • Previous experience in traffic control or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction site operations, including paving processes.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • A commitment to safety practices and procedures is essential.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Must have valid security guard license
  • Must have Traffic control certification or willing to get one
  • First aid and CPR standard level required
  • Willing to work in outdoor construction site environments while wearing appropriate PPE.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

  • Security guard: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Security Guard Licence (preferred)
  • Traffic Control Certification (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 100% (preferred)
