Role Summary

In this position, you will be on the front lines providing support for our customers and educating the Rivian community on our continuously growing products and services. You will be a leader in driving our customer service philosophy. The opening will be located at our Vancouver, BC office location and report directly to our Sr. Manager, Software Engineering. 

Responsibilities
  • Production Readiness Process: Support review and implementation of observability, reliability, and supportability standards before deployment
  • Collaborate with Infra and DevEx teams on platform engineering projects with specific emphasis on infra resilience, observability, and maintenance
  • Support development of in-house observability stack and cost management analysis of external tools
  • Incident Management process improvement: examine existing processes, participate in retrospective analysis of incidents, and recommend/integrate changes as needed
  • Microservice and serverless optimization: collaborate with other teams on their systems to optimize where needed for cost savings, resource optimization, and reliability
Qualifications
  • Kubernetes Experience: clear understanding of kubernetes for container orchestration and application deployment
  • Observability: experience with deploying, and maintaining open source and saas observability platforms (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc)
  • CI/CD Experience: working experience creating and managing pipelines
Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for British Columbia Based Applicants: $86,200 - $107,800 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). 

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental, and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or deomestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee Coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
