Specific Position Details:

• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: February 6, 2026
• Location: Dewberry, Dewberry,AB
• Subject Areas: Div III Math, Div III & IV Sciences, Div II, III, IV Phys Ed, Green Certificate (Laying Hen and Greenhouse)
• Contract Type: Temporary Full-time
• FTE: 1.0

Specific Position Duties:

• Experience in Division III and IV Math considered to be an asset
• Experience in Division Sciences considered an asset
• Experience in Physical Education considered to be an asset

Qualifications and General Duties:

• A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Demonstrates a student-centred philosophy committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment
• Proficiency with Google Suite and educational tools for communication and planning
• Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment strategies
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and foster a sense of belonging
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
• A willingness to contribute to the school's extracurricular programs is considered an asset

is a grade 1-12 school situated in the hamlet of Dewberry, AB. The school prides itself in being a small, close-knit school community whereby strong personal relationships between staff, students, parents, and community serve as the foundation for a quality learning environment in a safe and caring atmosphere. The hamlet of Dewberry has approximately 186 inhabitants and the school draws from the farming community around the hamlet. Traditionally Dewberry has been a mixed agriculture and resource based economy. The community provides a solid foundation for the school, and is a strong supporter of school activities. Our school and the community share facilities and resources with each other to promote growth and community spirit. People in our community have access within the hamlet to a grocery store, cafes, post office, banking, and other amenities. Dewberry also offers strong sports and rodeo programs.
