Key Responsibilities

Prepare food according to recipe/portion controlSupervision of up to 8 staff Bake, roast, steam, broil and otherwise cook foodResponsible for presentation and garnishmentMust directly or indirectly provide for superior customer service and always promote excellent relations with co-workersPerform other duties as assigned

What You Bring

Must have four (4) years of progressive culinary experience in a large kitchen, similar working environmentValid Red Seal is an asset - eligible for a premiumMust meet departmental standard for Prep Line Cook in all areas of kitchenMust be well rounded in all areas of the kitchen with a basic knowledge of PastryMust demonstrate leader ship and training skillsMust be proficient in the following areas:  Garde Manger, Hot Kitchen and Line CookingMust participate in a three (3) course cooking test during interview processMust be able to handle stressful situations in an appropriate manner Who We Are Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited ("Gateway") is one of the largest and most diversified gaming and entertainment companies in Canada with 31 gaming properties in British Columbia, Ontario and Alberta.
