Please note: this position will located in-person in Halifax, NS, with travel to New Brunswick.

You as a Quality Lead will:

  • Develop, oversee, and evaluate Project Quality Management Plans (PQMP) as well as Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)
  • Perform audits and subsequently address identified action items
  • Review and interpret contracts, specifications, drawings, and provide concise comments
  • Assess potential future risks and formulate comprehensive mitigation strategies.
  • Independently review drawings and specifications for compliance
  • Implement the quality program across various project types (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.)
  • Confidently to escalate issues with the quality program
  • Foster innovations and implement them into the quality program
  • Be capable of independently organizing and leading internal and external meetings
  • Support in the training and assistance of colleagues
  • Evaluate employee performance either through informal assessments or during formal review sessions
  • Manage and maintain the relationship with clients and present the company in a professional manner
  • Maintain ownership of the quality program when dealing with the client
  • Clearly communicate information about the quality program in various situations
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of construction operations

Is this the right role for you?

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the construction industry (preferably ICI), and familiarity with quality management systems and practices
  • Ability to champion and lead the effective implementation of operational best practices, project quality plans, risk management strategies, and quality assurance/control activities
  • You are a self-directed, motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
