SALARY:
The hourly rate for this role is $15.38 per hour

SHIFTS: rotating shifts
12-hour shifts

  • W1: MON-WED 6:30AM – 6:30PM
  • W2: MON-WED 6:30PM – 6:30AM
  • W3: THU-SAT 6:30AM – 6:30PM
  • W4: THU-SAT 6:30PM – 6:30AM

Overtime Eligibility:
This position is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable labour laws and pursuant with collective agreement. Overtime is paid at the legally required rate and may vary based on hours worked beyond the standard schedule.

ROLE SUMMARY:
Contribute to the productivity and future of your favorite beer by becoming a Casual Packaging Operator and joining the big Labatt family Our packaging operators create the link between the brewing and shipping process and therefore help to keep the company ahead of the competition while continuously improving the process.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate and monitor high speed equipment
  • Load supplies into machinery
  • Record process data
  • Perform process quality control checks
  • Execute industrial cleaning and sanitation

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Engage in physical activities and manual labor as requested, including but not limited to: prolonged standing, walking, lifting pushing, twisting, pulling and bending. Lift object up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in an enclosed environment.
  • Climb a ladder/stairs.
  • Work on slippery floor.
  • Lift object higher than the shoulders.
  • Operate a motorized equipment.
  • Exposure to noise.
  • Exposure to vibration.
  • Participate in the hearing conservation program.
  • Ability to wear all PPE as required: including safety shoes, glasses, bump cap (plastic insert), hearing protection (jewelry must be taken off)
  • Able to work shift work (Day, afternoons, and midnights)
