The farm offers seasonal activities like a strawberry u-pick, a petting zoo, and fall-themed events, and has expanded from its original 25 acres to 120 acres. About the farm

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. Duties
- Assist in overseeing daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning and high standards of customer service
- Support recruiting efforts by interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Manage payroll processing and maintain accurate records of employee hours and performance
- Lead merchandising initiatives to optimize product displays and inventory presentation
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle purchasing decisions to maintain stock levels and negotiate with vendors when necessary
- Supervise staff schedules, assign tasks, and monitor team performance to meet sales goals
- Conduct training and development sessions to enhance team skills and product knowledge
- Implement pricing strategies aligned with company policies and market trends
- Manage cash handling procedures, including balancing registers and preparing deposits
- Develop marketing strategies to increase store visibility and customer engagement
- Ensure compliance with store policies, safety regulations, and company standards
- Perform administrative duties such as bookkeeping, record keeping, and reporting
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising software, and basic math for inventory management
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and sales management is highly desirable
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform bookkeeping tasks
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, marketing, and store management strategies
- Supervising experience with a focus on customer service excellence and team motivation
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques, pricing strategies, and promotional activities
- Administrative experience including payroll processing, record keeping, and inventory control
