The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Special Projects Manager to lead the development and delivery of large-scale Indigenous early learning initiatives. This role focuses on transforming ideas into impactful, culturally grounded projects that support Indigenous children and families through innovative educational tools, resources, and community-based platforms.

This position requires a strategic and collaborative leader who understands Indigenous program development and can manage complex projects from concept through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of Indigenous early learning special projects.
  • Manage full project lifecycles including budgeting, staffing, timelines, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with Indigenous partners, community stakeholders, and creative professionals.
  • Supervise and support project teams.
  • Ensure all projects reflect Indigenous values, cultural integrity, and community priorities.
  • Develop processes and tools that support accountability and long-term sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Early Learning, Education, Human or Social Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of leadership or project management experience.
  • Proven experience delivering complex, multi-phase projects.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities, organizations, or populations is a strong asset.
  • Lived experience as an Indigenous person and/or professional experience working in Indigenous-serving organizations is considered a strong asset.
