The Senior Manager, Compliance Operations & Finance Management is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial, workforce, and operational governance of the Compliance function. This role serves as the operational and financial backbone of Compliance, ensuring strong controls across budgeting, staffing, and organizational structure while supporting strategic planning and enterprise cost initiatives. This role is a contract position with potential to extend or convert to a permanent role.

This role partners closely with senior leaders to deliver disciplined financial management, data-driven insights, and effective resource allocation. The incumbent will also support broader business management activities across the Compliance and Law group and may contribute to compliance technology portfolio initiatives as required.

What Will You Do?

  • Oversee the end-to-end staff request and workforce tracking process for the Compliance function, ensuring alignment with approved organizational structures and staffing plans.
  • Provide financial governance and oversight for Compliance operations, including KPI development, expense monitoring, spend analysis, and budget performance tracking.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance internal policies and procedures related to financial governance, hiring and resource management, and budget controls, ensuring alignment with Functions Finance and enterprise standards.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and cost allocation activities, performing detailed financial and FTE analyses to support strategic initiatives and leadership decision-making.
  • Drive key business management initiatives on behalf of Compliance within LACG and the broader enterprise, including the Annual Functions Review, Enterprise Cost Champion activities, and other priority programs.
  • Manage and report on operational metrics, resource utilization, and budget outcomes, providing regular insights to the Director of Strategy & Operations and senior leadership.
  • Partner with the Director of Strategy & Operations to support compliance-wide policies and procedures, offering recommendations to strengthen financial discipline and optimize resource use.
  • Collaborate with the technology portfolio team as required, providing financial analysis and resource planning support for compliance technology initiatives.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in financial management, operations, or program delivery, including managing complex budgets, resource allocation, and organizational change in matrix environments.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders, functions, and geographies.
  • Strong experience in process management and continuous improvement, with the ability to manage large-scale operational and financial processes.
  • Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and leadership, with the ability to influence outcomes and drive impact without direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clear, actionable financial and operational insights to senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities, with the ability to translate complex data into practical recommendations.
  • Proven discretion and ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience within banking or financial services preferred
