Pipe Insulator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Insulator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing insulation systems in commercial and industrial buildings. This role requires attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience with construction sites and familiarity with blueprint reading are highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to develop specialized skills in insulation installation within a dynamic work environment.

Duties

• Measure and cut insulation materials to fit designated areas using hand tools and cutting equipment
• Install insulation in walls, ceilings, pipes, and other structural components according to project specifications
• Apply caulking and sealants to ensure proper insulation coverage and prevent air leaks
• Use various hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and power tools for installation tasks
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately execute insulation plans
• Assist with the preparation of work sites by cleaning and organizing materials and tools
• Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure timely project completion

Skills

• Experience with caulking, hand tools, and general construction practices
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
• Strong attention to detail and precision in measuring and cutting materials
• Good physical stamina for lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
• Prior experience working on construction projects involving insulation is preferred but not required
