Job Description:

Note: These are casual part-time Support positions (up to 24 hours per week) starting in the beginning of January, 2026 and ending around the last week of April, 2026 (contract extension may be possible).

Note: These positions are located at 1001 Fanshawe College Blvd, London, ON N5Y 5R6. 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Immersive Technologies and Simulation, the Simulation Technologists support faculty and students in the delivery of experiential learning activities within a simulated patient care environment. These roles involve the preparation, operation, and maintenance of computerized mannequins, extended reality (XR) technologies, and audiovisual systems. The incumbents coordinate lab resources and ensures that simulation and learning activities run smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Simulation and Lab Coordination

• Schedule, prepare, and organize equipment, supplies, and materials needed for simulation and practice sessions

• Assist with setup and teardown of lab spaces before and after learning activities

• Report maintenance or repair needs to team lead

Simulation Operations

• Set up and operate simulation mannequins, extended reality (XR), and audiovisual (AV) systems during experiential learning scenarios

• Troubleshoot technical issues with simulation software, hardware, and AV systems

• Prepare, run, and reset scenarios as required, ensuring proper documentation and system readiness

Continuous Improvement and Collaboration

• Collaborate with faculty and simulation staff to enhance realism and effectiveness of simulation activities

• Stay current with emerging simulation technologies and educational best practices

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in a healthcare program required

• Minimum 1 year of recent and relevant work experience in a related field required

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

• Experience with simulation-based education, healthcare technology, or clinical environments preferred

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
