Duties

  • Perform comprehensive cleaning of office spaces, including desks, conference rooms, break areas, restrooms, and hallways to ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors using appropriate cleaning equipment such as buffers and floor scrubbers to maintain a polished appearance.
  • Empty trash bins and recycling containers regularly and dispose of waste responsibly.
  • Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, and cleaning products to ensure availability at all times.
  • Conduct detailed cleaning of restrooms, including sanitizing sinks, toilets, mirrors, and fixtures to uphold health standards.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, doors, and light fixtures to promote clarity and brightness within the workspace.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting repairs needed for facilities or equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects like carpet shampooing or industrial cleaning tasks when required.
  • Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities and supply inventories for accountability and efficiency.

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial or residential cleaning environments with a strong understanding of janitorial procedures.
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing to keep surfaces in pristine condition.
  • Familiarity with custodial equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and scrubbers.
  • Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks with attention to safety standards.
  • Experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the workday.
  • Excellent attention to detail ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards consistently.
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance issues promptly.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks over extended periods.
