Role Overview

The Engineer – NPI / Process will play a key role in supporting new product introductions (NPI) and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure high quality, efficiency, and scalability. This role bridges R&D, Operation, and Quality teams to translate innovative formulations and packaging concepts into reliable, repeatable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate new product introduction (NPI) projects from pilot to production, ensuring smooth scale-up and on-time launch.
  • Manage new projects and coordinating with Sales, Operations, R&D, and Quality departments to align project goals and processes.
  • Oversee the installation, installation qualification (IQ), and operational qualification (OQ) of new equipment.
  • Develop and write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for training Production and Operations teams on new processes and equipment.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, process flow diagrams, and validation reports.
  • Evaluate and recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and equipment upgrades to enhance production efficiency.
  • Partner with suppliers and the Operations team to ensure smooth technology transfer and material compatibility.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, Health Canada, and relevant quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electonic, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in process engineering, NPI, or manufacturing; preferably in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or food manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of process development, scale-up, and validation principles.
  • Hands-on experience with mixing, filling, and packaging processes.
  • Knowledge of GMP and quality system requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
