In this pivotal role, you'll act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner across all facets of Human Resources, including employee relations, recruitment, disability management, performance, and compensation. You'll work side by side with leaders to build strong teams, guide best practices, and bring our agency's mission and values to life.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key member of our People & Culture team, you'll:

Understand client group operations and workforce needs to support planning and decision-making. Advise employees and supervisors on HR policies, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and compensation. Coach leaders on performance management, employee engagement, and progressive discipline. Conduct investigations for employee complaints and respectful workplace incidents. Analyze HR trends and recommend improvements. Assist the HR Manager with HR metrics and reports. Contribute to HR projects, including policy updates and process improvements. Support change management and policy implementation. Participate in interviews and hiring decisions for supervisory roles. Attend service meetings to provide HR updates and guidance. Visit programs to support HR processes and staff engagement. Draft employee communications (e.g., performance, discipline, employment changes). Assist with compensation analysis. Ensure compliance with employment laws and other employment legislation. Complete mandatory and role-specific training. Stay current on HR trends, legislation, and best practices. 

What You Bring to the Table

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field. Minimum 5 years in an HR Generalist role. CPHR designation is an asset. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. 

Who You Are

Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment law. Skilled in HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity. Experience supporting change initiatives and program implementation.
