About the Role

We are looking for an experienced
ServiceNow ITAM/SAM Specialist
with strong expertise in Software Asset Management and hands-on experience implementing and supporting ServiceNow modules. The ideal candidate will hold
any two ServiceNow CIS certifications
, including
CIS–SAM
, and have the ability to drive end-to-end SAM operations in a global environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT experience
    , with a minimum of
    4+ years working on ServiceNow ITAM/SAM
    .
  • Minimum 2 ServiceNow CIS Certifications
    – must include
    CIS–SAM
    .

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support
    ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM)
    operations.
  • Manage software discovery, normalization, reconciliation, and license compliance.
  • Maintain accurate software
    entitlement and consumption
    data.
  • Configure, customize, and enhance
    ServiceNow ITAM/SAM
    modules.
  • Generate and analyze dashboards/reports related to software usage and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for
    cost savings and license optimization
    .
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for audits and renewals.
  • Define and enforce
    SAM governance
    processes.
  • Troubleshoot SAM/ITAM issues and ensure system reliability.
  • Mentor junior SAM analysts and collaborate with ITSM/ITOM/CMDB teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of major licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, etc.).
  • Experience with
    ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB
    , and integrations (Flexera, SCCM, JAMF).
  • Hands-on experience with scripting, workflows, and ServiceNow platform configuration.
  • Experience working in
    Agile
    environments.
  • Web UI/Service Portal experience (HTML, CSS, AngularJS) is a plus.
  • ITIL Foundation certification
    preferred.
  • ServiceNow CAD
    is an added advantage.
