Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated 3rd/4th year Apprentice Plumber or ticketed Plumber/Gasfitter to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the plumbing industry while working under the guidance of experienced professionals. The Apprentice Plumber will assist in various plumbing tasks, learn essential skills, and develop a strong foundation for a successful career in plumbing and more. Occasionally our jobs are residential related, majority of our work is oilfield related and may require to travel outside Grande Prairie to other areas in AB, BC the Territory's etc. We require a Journeyman Plumber for service calls, a service truck would be an asset with compensation provided.

Duties

  • Assist licensed plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems and other tasks outside their field.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Learn to read and interpret schematics and blueprints related to plumbing projects.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members on various projects while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Traveling and being ready on short notice for any job opportunity, while being able to work long hours when required.

Requirements

  • Mechanical knowledge with a strong aptitude for learning new skills in plumbing.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the trade.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints is a plus.
  • Previous experience or coursework related to carpentry is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
  • Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team while assisting other trades.
