Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation laws and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers to optimize delivery schedules.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary.
  • Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly.
  • Uphold the company's commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) for Canada.
  • At least one year of AZ driving experience
  • A clean driving record.
  • A clean police clearance (60 days old or newer)
  • Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably in freight transportation.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards and traffic laws.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Basic automotive repair knowledge is advantageous.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently daily within Windsor. The start time is 12 pm daily, working from 8 to 10 hours per day, Monday to Friday. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent navigation skills, the ability to operate heavy equipment, and able to call for a professional to make repairs, if needed and to communicate the issue effectively .

Duties

  • Operate trucks to transport freight in a safe and timely manner.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
  • Be able to identify defects and contact proper repair facilities as needed while on the road.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
