Role: Data Analyst

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Business Analyst with a minimum of 4 years of proven experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights. As a Data Analyst at ALTEA HealthCare, you will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.

Data Wrangling, Cleaning, and Preprocessing:

  • Work with large and complex datasets, performing data wrangling, cleaning, and preprocessing tasks.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data through meticulous cleaning and validation processes.

Reporting and Visualization:

  • Create clear and concise reports and dashboards to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work with business teams to understand reporting requirements and provide data-driven solutions.

Statistical Analysis:

  • Conduct statistical analysis to support business decisions and validate hypotheses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments.

Data Integration and Warehousing:

  • Proven ability to perform data warehousing, cleaning, and integration tasks.
  • Experience with writing scripts for automatically pulling data using APIs.

Business Data Analysis & Requirements Gathering

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and translate them into actionable data requirements.
  • Elicit and document business and functional requirements for analytics projects and data products and Bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution by defining use cases, KPIs, and success metrics.
  • Partner with product, operations, and engineering teams to align data models and analytics with business goals.

Solution Design & Strategic Insights

  • Translate business questions into analytical problems and design data-driven solutions to support decision-making.
  • Proactively identify business trends, risks, and opportunities through continuous data monitoring.
  • Provide ad-hoc and strategic reporting to leadership, ensuring recommendations are aligned with organizational priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Expert in data analysis tools and advanced level proficiency in SQL programming language.
  • Hands-on experience Python and familiarity with data analysis libraries, such as Pandas, NumPy, and Plotly.
  • Proficiency in writing scripts for pulling data using APIs or ETL tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel.
  • Proven experience and proficient with data visualization tools specifically Power BI.
  • Fluent with DAX and M Code.
  • Strong data storytelling skills and visualization experience.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data findings in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent collaborator with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships both within the team and with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Independent thinker who takes initiative and approaches problem-solving with an innovative mindset, focusing on scalable solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert business needs into data models, metrics, and reporting frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of business process flows and how they connect to data structures.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills with a focus on clarifying analytical goals and business expectations.
  • Can act as a liaison between the business and IT/dev teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements.
  • Have experience assisting in the testing phase by ensuring solutions meet the defined requirements and helping in the creation and execution of test cases.
  • Be able to collaborate with the tech team to ensure the developed solutions meet the business requirements and are implemented correctly.

Additional Skills:

  • Having experience of working with Microsoft Suite.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, and SharePoint.
  • Proficiency in using Jupyter for data analysis and visualization.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets; expertise in data wrangling, cleaning, preprocessing, and warehousing.
  • Ability to write scripts for automatically pulling data using APIs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field would be an asset.

Salary: Between 68K CAD and 85 K CAD depends on experience
